Stephen A. Smith Guest Speaks at OSU; Talks LaVar Ball, Carmelo Anthony, Racial Relations, Fining Players, More
Stephen A. Smith has been a fixture in the media for more than two decades and has never been afraid to speak his mind on any topic being discussed. After sitting down with UCLA standout Lonzo Ball and his loudmouth father, LaVar, earlier in the week, Smith traveled to Ohio to guest speak in front of hundreds of Ohio State University students on Wednesday night.
Smith spoke on various subjects, including beating LaVar Ball one-on-one, NBA free-agency, Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Finals three-peat, Carmelo Anthony, and the 2017 NBA Draft. Other than sports, Smith also preached racial relations in America and how to pursue your passions in college.
On playing LaVar Ball one-on-one:
“Even with a bum knee, I could beat LaVar Ball one-on-one.”
On Carmelo Anthony in free-agency:
“I’ve heard Carmelo Anthony will not be in New York after this summer. He could be in Los Angeles with the Clippers, in Cleveland, or even Boston. In that order.”
On Lonzo Ball:
“If the Los Angeles Lakers get the No. 1 pick, they’re taking Lonzo Ball. Easily.”
