Western Conference Scout Links LeBron James To The Phoenix Suns: “With LeBron, I Think Chris Would Finally Get His Ring”

The Phoenix Suns have trended upward over the recent years. Headlined by Devin Booker, Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton, the Suns were a Finals team two seasons ago and are a team that still presents a difficult matchup for any team in the NBA.

That said, one Western Conference scout isn’t convinced that the Suns are capable of taking over the NBA as presently constructed. He now suggested that the Suns may need another playmaker alongside CP3 and mentioned LeBron James as the man for the job.

LeBron’s contract with the Los Angeles Lakers runs through the 2023-24 NBA season and includes a player option for 2024-25. The Lakers remain committed on LeBron, but the possibility of parting ways with an aging superstar can’t also be ruled out.

Per Fox Sports:

“The Suns have proved themselves quite capable of getting close, but I think they need a little bit more if they want to get to where they want,” the scout said.

“One more ball handler and playmaker.” The presence of one of LeBron’s best friends, Chris Paul, would make it especially appealing. “It’s the one place he’d be welcome with open arms,” the scout said. “In Phoenix, with LeBron, I think Chris would finally get his ring.”
