Dwyane Wade’s Heartful And Touching Message To Quentin Richardson

When Quentin Richardson retired in 2013, he was able to look back at an exciting and mostly successful NBA career that lasted for 13 seasons.

Richardson’s most famous stops were with the Los Angeles Clippers, who drafted him 18th overall in the 2000 NBA Draft, and with the New York Knicks. But when he played the 2009-10 season with the Miami Heat, he was able to team up with his friend Dwyane Wade. When Wade was in high school, Richardson was his idol and became Dwyane’s mentor. This eventually led to a strong friendship and a brotherhood.

Wade now praised Richardson on Instagram with a very touching and hearfelt message:

“From having a poster of you in my locker in high school, to getting a chance to meet you for the first time after a game at DePaul, to you not being scheduled to be my host on my college visit to DePaul but you hearing i was there & you came & said DWade with me, to us developing our own relationship from that visit, to the phone(yes people use to talk on the phones) conversations we had while you were in the NBA and i was in college, to @cdell112 and I sneaking out to come chill in your hotel room when y’all came in town to play the bucks, to the time i came to LA for the John Wooden Awards & you let me raid your closet and get anything i wanted(i went back to Marquette stunting with the custom kicks especially since we both wore number 3) to you giving me advice as i went thru the workouts and draft process, to playing against each other on the court, to being teammates for one season(135 forever btw haha), to now watching the husband and father you are. Y’all get the point. Thanks for being a role model, a friend, a big brother and everything in between. Love you big bro!”
