Sacramento Kings Had Too Much Fun During “Floodgate”

Wednesday’s game between the Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers was postponed due to condensation on the court at Wells Fargo Center.

NHL team Philadelphia Flyers had a game at the arena the night before, and the ice surface remained under the basketball court, which it normally always does. But because of the rare warm and humid November weather that day in Philly, the surface got affected.

John Page, the arena’s president said:

“With our ice surface, sometimes humidity is our biggest opponent when we prepare for a game. We’ve never had an issue before, but we need to make sure we don’t have this issue gain.”

Sacramento Center DeMarcus Cousins tried his best to get the court ready, helping out the mopping crew, but it wasn’t enough.

After the game finally was postponed, some of the Kings’ players seemed to have had a little too much fun. On Matt Barnes’ snapchat, you could see him and DeMarcus Cousins having drinks in locker room. Already calling it an ‘off-day’, you can see the two having a bottle of booze in the locker room and starting to drink.
