Nate Robinson Believes Brandon Roy Could Have Been In The Same League As Kobe Bryant And LeBron James If Injuries Hadn’t Held Him Back

The NBA has seen many players whose potential was limited or careers were cut short due to injuries. At the forefront of these players is former Portland Trail Blazers superstar Brandon Roy.

Roy was a leading figure for the Portland Trail Blazers, alongside LaMarcus Aldridge. His production, potential and skills had him on a path similar to that of superstar shooting guards like Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade.

During his healthy years, Roy earned major accolades, including three All-Star selections and two All-NBA team honors. His career, however, was disrupted by knee problems, leading to his retirement in the 2011-12 season. He tried a comeback with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2013 but played only five games.

Many remember Roy’s talent and potential when he was healthy, including former NBA guard Nate Robinson. Robinson believes that if Roy hadn’t been plagued by injuries, he would be talked about today like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

“Bro [Brandon Roy] doesn’t get enough love for what he did in the time he did it in. If bro never got hurt, n—a, we’d be talking about B-Roy like he’s Kobe or Bron,” Robinson on Instagram.
