Trae Young’s Horrendous First Game For The Atlanta Hawks

When the Atlanta Hawks traded the draft rights to Luka Doncic to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Trae Young and a future pick, Hawks fans weren’t very happy. Young may be the best shooter of the class, but is too streaky and Doncic is an all-time talent.

Young majorly impressed during his pre-draft workouts with the Hawks though, and played an incredible freshman season for Oklahoma. In 32 games, he averaged 27.4 points, 8.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals.

Then, last night, Young played his first game for the Atlanta Hawks in their Summer League matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. It didn’t go as planned for Trae.

He started off with two horrible three point airballs and things got worse – he missed his first 10 attempts. Young ended the night shooting 1 of 11 from 3-point range and 4 of 20 from the floor in a blowout loss.

But hey, things can only get better from there…
