Imagine being the youngest MVP in NBA history with the brightest future, then injuries chip away at your prime. Derrick Rose’s knees are shot, but his competitiveness and skills are still alive. Four surgeries between two knees over the span of five years has great effect on a player; Rose has had to battle with his body and mind to revive his magnificent career, and finally was able to do so, this season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

But Rose will always be a Chicago Bull.  His seven years in Chicago had its ups and downs; winning Most Valuable Player in 2011, Rookie of the Year in 2009, being named to three All-Star teams, and leading the Bulls to the best record in the league in 2011-12 were great accomplishments, but had to abandon the nightmares of injury and start out fresh.
