Seth Curry Wants To Rather Play Against Steph Than Team Up

In 2019, when the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers faced-off in the Western Conference Finals, two brothers faced each other for the first time in NBA history, at this stage of the playoffs – Stephen and Seth Curry.

While this accomplishment obviously makes the whole Curry family incredibly proud, it also leads to some tension. Before Game 1 of the series started, Seth Curry was invited to a family dinner by his sister-in-law, Ayesha Curry. But Seth was not in the mood and respectfully declined.

In the end, as always, the older brother had the upper hand, as the Warriors advanced to the NBA Finals.

While Seth Curry is a great basketball player and an incredible shooter, his older brother is one of the best players in NBA history.

This is also why Seth wants to forge his own path in the NBA. He now said in a interview, that he doesn’t envision teaming up with his brother, and that he rather plays against him.

Per Angelina Martin of NBC Sports

“I’ve thought about it as people bring it up, but to me personally, I enjoy kind of being away from him, trying to create my own path and do my own thing,” Seth told Golden State Warriors insider Monte Poole on the latest episode of Dubs Talk

“You never know what the future holds. I wouldn’t be against it, but it’s definitely not my preferred choice to be on the same team as him definitely right now. I also like competing against him and trying to beat the best.”
