Robert Horry Says Damian Lillard Is The Greatest Clutch Shooter Ever

If there’s one player who knows a thing or two about being clutch, it’s seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry. During his career, he earned the nickname “Big Shot Rob” because of his capability to deliver in big moments and hit clutch shots.

Horry recently made a guest appearance on The Crossover podcast, and unsurprisingly, one topic of interest centered on the greatest clutch shooters of all-time. Asked about his top 5 clutch shooters, Horry came in prepared and even told that he’s excluding himself from the list for some reason.

The 51-year old NBA champion then came up with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Stephen Curry as his first four before naming and explaining why Damian Lillard is his the greatest clutch shooter of all-time.

“People are going to say, ‘Damian Lillard? He hasn’t won anything,’” Horry said. “But Lillard has hit a clutch shot versus every team in the NBA. Think about that. Every team. The last minute or so of a game, he’s come through with a clutch shot, even though he got a lot of shots during the game.”
