Luka Doncic Rookie Card Sells For Public Auction Record $3.12 Million

The basketball card market is on fire and is frequently setting new records at the moment.

Last year, an auction of a LeBron James 2003-2004 Upper Deck Exquisite rookie card broke the record for the most expensive ‘modern-day’ card with after selling for $1.8 million.

Then, another record-setting card sale went through in March, when high-end collector Bolillo Lajan San sold a one-of-one Luka Doncic 2018-2019 Panini National Treasures Logoman Rookie Card for the insane amount of $4.6 million dollars.

This record didn’t last long though, as a LeBron James 2003-04 Upper Deck “Exquisite Collection” Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph card was sold for $5.2 million earlier this year.

Now, a 2018 National Treasures Luka Doncic Rookie NBA Logoman Patch card sold for $3,12 million, setting a new record for the sale of a basketball card at a public auction. According to the Dallas Morning News, the card was listed by PWCC Marketplace Premier Auction and was sold after a two week listing.
