Kyle Lowry Appears To Still Be Mad At Raptors For Trading DeMar DeRozan

Toronto Raptors All-Stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan weren’t just teammates but also best friends. They were basically doing everything together, on and off the court.

But, as we all know, DeRozan got traded to the Spurs and left his best friend in Toronto. Alone!

At the beginning of the season, Kyle Lowry brought people to tears when he performed his and DeMar’s best friend handshake before the first game of the season. Alone! With air as his counterpart.

Now, the Raptors point guard opened up about his feelings in an interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.

He still is mad at General Manager Masai Ujiri, at least that’s the memo you get when reading between the lines.

When asked about Demar, Lowry said:

“I felt betrayed, because he felt betrayed. Because that’s my guy. That’s my best friend.”

In terms of his relationship with Ujiri, Kyle said:

“He’s the president of basketball operations, and that’s it… He does his job and I do mine.”
