John Wall Is Still Heartbroken Over How The Wizards Treated Him

In this past offseason, on December 2, 2020, the NBA landscape was shaken up by a major Woj Bomb.

The Washington Wizards acquired former MVP and nine-time All-Star Russell Westbrook from the Houston Rockets in exchange for five-time All-Star John Wall and a future lottery-protected first round pick.

While Westbrook has been struggling with his new team so far, Wall has mostly impressed in a Rockets jersey, even more so when we consider the fact that he hadn’t played a game of professional basketball since December 26, 2018, prior to this season.

But even though Wall’s new team is currently having a better record than his old team, he still watches every Wizards game, because had a really strong bond to D.C., and his teammate Bradley Beal.

This is also why Wall is still disappointed in the Wizards for how they treated him.

“I felt like I deserved the honesty and respect because I’ve been there for 10 years. I’ve been through the bad times, when we had shitty teams and when we had good teams in D.C. I never turned my back on the organization. I played through damn near every injury that a lot of people wouldn’t have played through. I played through broken hands in the playoffs. I think I did everything I could and gave everything I had, heart and soul to the organization on and off the court.”
