Gordon Hayward Close To Signing With Nike
You simply couldn’t imagine a worse debut than what Gordon Hayward had to live through in his first game as a Celtic. After only about five minutes, Hayward went down with a horrific ankle injury that kept him out for the rest of the season.
Thankfully, Hayward has fully recovered and can’t wait for the season to start to show everyone that he’s still got it. We know that he’ll wear Celtics green for the start of the season, but we don’t know what shoes he’ll be wearing, yet.
You see, even though he’s an All-Star player, Hayward hasn’t had a sneaker deal yet. But this is about to change. Nike, New Balance, and Anta are interested in signing Hayward to a sneaker and endorsement deal. The Celtics star is in a great position and can choose the company he wants to sign with. Last year it was Giannis, this year Gordan. But the bidding war may be over before it really started as Hayward reportedly is close to signing a multi-year deal with Nike.

UPDATE: A shoe deal for Gordon Hayward is expected to be done in the coming weeks if not sooner. I'm told now that he's still keeping an open mind about which shoe-maker he plans to sign with.
