Devin Booker Throws Subtle Shade At Referees After Game 4 Loss Against The Dallas Mavericks: “Haven’t Quite Seen A Game Like Today”

The Phoenix Suns lost Game 4 to the Dallas Mavericks during their Eastern Conference Semifinals series on Sunday. The series is now tied at 2-2, with Game 5 scheduled to tip off in Phoenix.

Despite the loss, Devin Booker was nothing short of spectacular, dropping 35 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists on 45.5% shooting from field for Phoenix.

Chris Paul, on the other hand, struggled to make a significant impact as he was in foul trouble early and was fouled out in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with just 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists on 50.0% shooting.

Following the loss to the Mavericks, Booker spoke to the media and seemingly took a subtle shot at the referees while discussing what went wrong during the game.

Per AZ Central:

“We’re going to make our adjustments,” Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker said. “I’ve been in 500 basketball games or something like that and haven’t quite seen a game like today. So it’s tough.”

“It was a different type of game, different energy. We starting off the game in foul trouble, techs for no reason. A lot came with it, but I think we just have to flush (Game 4) down the toilet and move on to the next game.”
