Detroit Pistons Fans Were So Relieved After Wild Ending To Their Record Losing Streak

Yesterday, the Toronto Raptors sent OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks in exchange for RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round draft pick.

This trade, so shortly before the game, may have been one of the reasons why the Detroit Pistons were able to end their historic losing streak.

Before last night’s game, the Pistons had lost 28 consecutive games, passing the Philadelphia 76ers (2013-14) and Cleveland Cavaliers (in 2010-11), who each had 26 consecutive losses, for the single season NBA record for the longest losing streak.

The Pistons had not won a game since October 28th, when they beat the Chicago Bulls. But thankfully, also due to another incredible performance by Cade Cunningham, the Pistons were able to snap the streak by beating the Raptors with 129-127.

This final score however came pretty surprising to everyone watching the entire game. Due to the foul game being played in the final minute, both teams were able to score a combined 30 points in the final 60 seconds of the game.

After the game, you could literally hear sighs of relief from Pistons fans, and everyone seemed so happy that the streak had ended.
