Derrick Rose Apologized To Cavs Teammates

After over two weeks, Cleveland point guard Derrick Rose is back with the team. Rose needed some time away to deal with his increasing frustration about his constant injury problems. Rose wasn’t even sure that he wants to continue playing.

But unlike last year, when Rose left his Knicks team without reaching out to team officials (teammates and fans were worried about where he may be), the former MVP was staying in contact with the franchise’s front office.

Earlier this week, LeBron James was asked if Rose owed the team an apology for his absence to which LeBron responded:

“He doesn’t owe us an explanation. We just hope that we can be his support system.”

But apparently, Derrick Rose apologized to his teammates nontheless, which is the right thing to do if you ask me. Head coach Tyronn Lue said:

“He didn’t have to, but he did. He asked me could he talk to the team before we started shootaround and addressed the team. Everyone welcomed him back and is happy he is here, and that’s it.”

Welcome back Derrick!
