Boris Diaw Is Eyeing An NBA Comeback

He is a 14-year NBA veteran, a coffee lover, NBA Champion, and one of the NBA’s most entertaining men. After 1064 games, Diaw had decided to go home and sign with French team Paris-Levallois.

The man who had an espresso machine built into his locker in San Antonio, explained why he decided to return home this past summer:

“I found it very motivating to take part in a project such as this one within a French basketball club. This decision wasn’t about the money, it was about joining a club that could benefit from my presence, where I could help guide and teach the young players.”

But, Diaw also said from the beginning, that he wanted to stay in shape, and play on a high level, to possibly join an NBA team closer to the end of the new season and possibly the playoffs. That’s why his deal with Paris-Levallois includes an NBA out. This time could possibly be around the corner. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN Boris Diaw is eyeing an NBA comeback:

“Name to keep in mind as buyout market begins: Boris Diaw. Has NBA out with his French team Paris-Levallois. 35-year-old’s camp has touched base with several playoff teams expressing interest. Great locker room presence, unselfish role player with 119 games of playoff experience.”

Diaw has appeared in 16 games for Paris-Levallois this year, averaging 12.3 points and 6.4 rebounds. So it could be that his phone will ring soon, and Gregg Popovich is on the line, trying to recruit him for the post season.
