Best Still Available Free Agents

The start to this year’s offseason has been crazy. For yet another year, the Western Conference is looking stronger than ever.

For the first time in his career, LeBron James has gone West and joined the Los Angeles Lakers. DeMarcus Cousins stayed West in a shocking move to the Golden State Warriors.

But there are still plenty of free-agent players on the market, who are looking to sign with a new team, or re-sign with their old team. To make things a little easier, here are the best free-agent players, who still are available:

Clint Capela (Restricted Free Agent):

The Houston Rockets are planning to match any offer the big man receives. It is almost given that Capela will wear Rockets colors again next season.

Isaiah Thomas (Unrestricted Free Agent):

According to various reports, Thomas and the Orlando Magic are negotiating a possible deal. But nothing has been agreed to yet.

Marcus Smart (RFA):

Boston wants to resign him, but can’t match any offer. The Dallas Mavericks apparently are also interested in acquiring Smart.

Dwyane Wade (UFA):

If Wade isn’t going to retire, he’ll most likely stay in South Beach.

Jabari Parker (RFA):

The Bucks certainly won’t match any offer and don’t seem too interested in keeping Parker. Sacramento and his hometown of Chicago seem to be among the frontrunners.

Zach LaVine (RFA):

One of the league’s best dunkers doesn’t have too many options. The Bulls would like to keep him, but won’t offer than an anual salary in the $14 million-$16 million range. Sacramento and New York are the other teams rumored to be interested. The Kings could pay more!

Tony Parker (UFA):

Spurs would like to keep his veteran presence, but Charlotte and Denver also are interested.

Jusuf Nurkic (RFA):

Nurkic will likely be back with the Portland Trail Blazers for at least one more season.

Luc Mbah a Moute (UFA):

Wizards and Warriors reportedly are interested to sign Luc. Houston would also like to resign him.

Brook Lopez (UFA):

The Lakers want to keep Lopez and Lopez is interested. After the LeBron signing, he said he could see himself taking less money to stay with a team that was an absolute contender.

Rodney Hood (RFA):

The Cavaliers intend to keep Hood’s talents on board, but Hood could become a fallback option for the Bulls, if they fail to resign Zach LaVine.

Wayne Ellington (UFA):

It seemed that Ellington would stay in Miami, but now it seems as Wayne Ellington’s potential return to the Heat is very much in question. Acccording  to various reports, nine other teams expressed legitimate interest with OKC becoming a front runner.

Michael Beasley (UFA):

Portland, Atlanta, Golden State and Milwaukee could have interest.
