Some NBA traditions simply never get old, and Charles Barkley’s annual humiliation on Inside the NBA is certainly one of them.
During Thursday night’s broadcast, the Hall of Famer once again faced the infamous “Who He Play For?” challenge, in which he must identify the current teams of NBA players. Unfortunately for Barkley, his knowledge of league rosters proved as unreliable as ever.
After failing the initial round, Shaquille O’Neal suggested giving him another chance with the exact same players. Surely, remembering answers he had just been given couldn’t be that difficult?
Apparently, it was.
Barkley proceeded to get most of it wrong again, prompting another round of laughter from Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and O’Neal. Even a third attempt failed to produce a perfect result, with Barkley repeatedly struggling to remember the correct teams.
“Gave him the answers and he still failed the test. You’re the only person to get cheat notes and get it all wrong,” Smith joked.
