Bam Adebayo may have found the most dangerous opponent of his career: A’ja Wilson after realizing she has been set up.
On Foul Play With Anthony Davis, Adebayo pranked Wilson into thinking she had been pulled into an illegal memorabilia scam, the kind of fake crisis built perfectly for hidden-camera chaos. The bit aired as part of Davis’ prank series, with new episodes released Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on TBS.
The premise worked because Wilson is not exactly someone you imagine folding quietly. She is one of the biggest stars in basketball, a WNBA powerhouse with MVP hardware, championship credibility and a presence that fills a room before anyone explains the joke. Put her in a fake autograph scandal, add Adebayo as the inside man, and suddenly the whole thing becomes less about the scam than about watching Bam try not to laugh while his girlfriend processes the absurdity.
In the end, nobody needed a stat line. Bam got the prank. A’ja got the reveal. And basketball got another reminder that its stars are often funniest when the game clock is turned off.
