Luka Dončić Moves To Shift Child Support Case Out Of California

Luka Dončić is facing an off-court legal dispute that has now entered a new phase. According to TMZ Sports, Dončić has asked a Los Angeles County judge to dismiss a child support and attorneys’ fees petition filed by his former fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, arguing that California is not the proper venue because neither he nor their children live there. TMZ reported that Dončić and his legal team contend the matter should be handled in Slovenia, where he has already filed.

The jurisdiction question is at the center of the case. Goltes filed the petition in California, while sources familiar with Dončić’s position said one of the couple’s daughters was with him in California for only three months last spring and the other had never been to the state. That reporting made clear that the filing was not simply about support, but also about where the dispute should be heard in the first place.

TMZ’s latest report says Dončić is characterizing the California filing as an attempt to seek a more favorable financial outcome, with his side arguing that the petition was filed in the wrong country and should be dismissed as procedurally improper. That remains Dončić’s claim, not a court finding, and no final ruling has been reported.
