The Houston Rockets have been without a true point guard since Fred VanVleet suffered an ACL injury during the offseason. With trade season approaching, many around the league have naturally linked the Rockets to potential point guard targets.
That has included Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who has been floated as a possible landing spot in Houston. On paper, the idea is intriguing, especially when imagining a Morant and Kevin Durant pairing. An explosive rim-attacking guard alongside a versatile scoring threat is easy to sell, which explains why the idea has gained traction among fans and analysts.
Still, that interest does not appear to be coming from the Rockets themselves. According to Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko, Houston has no interest in pursuing a trade for Morant.
