With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Victor Wembanyama collecting labels by the week, Spencer Dinwiddie makes sure his former Dallas Mavericks teammate does not go without one of his own.
In a recent interview, Dinwiddie echoed what many around the league already believe, calling Doncic the best offensive player in the NBA.
“Luka Doncic is the best offensive player in the world. I’ve played against him so much. We had battles in practice. I think he has a counter to everything and can get his shot off when he wants. And so, sometimes it just comes down to whether he’s hot that day or not.”
And this is not even hot take. Doncic is putting up 34.1 points per game to lead the league and is also right there in assists at 8.8, behind only Nikola Jokic and Cade Cunningham and tied with Josh Giddey.
Doncic’s offensive production has continued to impress, and it has coincided with positive returns for the Los Angeles Lakers, who rank 7th on offense in the league and currently hold 4th place in the Western Conference.
