Draymond Green finally fired back at Kenyon Martin after letting the former All-Star’s comments pile up for some time. Green cited his resume, highlighted by his Defensive Player of the Year award, nine All-Defensive selections, and his standing as one of the greatest players in Golden State Warriors history.
Draymond SLAMS Kenyon Martin
“Idk how you continue to shoot at me when you underachieved. 1 all star? If I stop playing today, my career was better, way more impactful. Your resume got to be a little better to keep taking shots”

Draymond’s resume makes a strong case on its own. But for those arguing against him, the point they keep returning to is that he played with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and eventually Kevin Durant. And Martin didn’t shy away from that angle at all.
Martin believes Draymond benefited greatly from playing with elite shooters like Steph and Klay, and he pointed out that in the season both were unavailable, the Warriors forward didn’t produce or elevate his game as much. Meanwhile, Martin pointed out that he had to do more than rely on two of the greatest shooters of all time to carry the offense.
“I was actually asked to score for us to win, and they ran plays for me. I just wasn’t a passer. I wasn’t there just finding guys, two of the best shooters of all time. I was asked to play actual basketball.”
“Games Steph played without Draymond, he is 53-38. You played 128 games without Steph, that record is 52-76… One season Steph was out, Klay was out, in that season, you were the 12th highest scorer on that team. Is that brick too heavy?”
