Dennis Rodman has never been one to follow the conventional path. From his flamboyant fashion to his diplomatic detours in North Korea, the Hall of Famer has built a reputation for living life on his own terms. During a recent livestream with popular streamer Neon, Rodman added another chapter to his globe-trotting saga, this time, spotlighting Russia as one of his favorite destinations.
“I know Putin very well,” Rodman said casually, as if discussing a former teammate. “I’ve met him five times, man. He’s got his own hotel, his own Ferrari and Lamborghini dealership. He even asked me, ‘Dennis, do you want a Lamborghini?’ I said, yeah, I’ll take one. I had it for a week, man. Just a week. Back then, I was single”.
The clip quickly went viral, adding to Rodman’s ever-growing archive of surreal stories. According to him, his visits to Russia were filled with extravagant dinners, fleets of luxury cars, and entourages of models that seemed straight out of a Bond film.
“Every time we go out… oh sh*t… he had 12 to 13 models with him. Every day we go out to eat… we go to parties, these models are just right there with us. I’m like, ‘Wow! Man, you do this every day?’ It was crazy!”.

Rodman’s ties to Russia go beyond leisure. In 2022, he even considered traveling there to help negotiate the release of WNBA star Brittney Griner, who had been detained on drug charges. Although the trip was ultimately canceled, it underscored Rodman’s belief in his unique diplomatic reach.
While most retired NBA stars settle into commentary gigs or golf courses, Rodman continues to live a life that blurs the line between celebrity excess and international intrigue. Whether he’s jet skiing with Kim Jong Un or dining with Vladimir Putin, Rodman remains one of the most unpredictable, and oddly fascinating, figures in sports history.
