Basketball royalty meets luxury real estate in the latest Airbnb listing that’s turning heads across the sports world. Michael Jordan’s iconic Highland Park mansion, once valued at $29 million, is now available to rent for a staggering $15,000 to $17,000 per night. For fans of the six-time NBA champion, it’s a rare chance to step inside the lifestyle of one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Located just 25 miles north of downtown Chicago, the 56,000-square-foot estate sits on 7.39 acres and was custom-built to Jordan’s specifications in the early 1990s. The property features nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a regulation-size indoor basketball court, putting green, tennis court, infinity pool, cigar lounge, wine cellar, and even a private pond stocked with bass and bluegill. The entrance gate famously bears Jordan’s jersey number 23, making it as much a shrine as a residence.

Jordan originally listed the mansion for $29 million in 2012, but after more than a decade on the market, it sold in December 2024 for just $9.5 million to Nebraska businessman John Cooper. Cooper, who never intended to live in the home, has now turned it into a high-end rental experience dubbed “Champions Point.”

The Airbnb listing requires a minimum seven-night stay and a $25,000 security deposit. Rates fluctuate depending on the season, with peak pricing at $17,000 per night and off-peak rates dropping to $15,000. For those seeking an extended escape, a 21-day stay will set you back a cool $330,000.

While Jordan himself has long moved on, selling his stake in the Charlotte Hornets and expanding his billion-dollar brand empire, the mansion remains a physical embodiment of his legacy. From the trophy room to the Air Jordan-themed décor, every inch of the estate whispers stories of dominance, discipline, and design.

For fans with deep pockets and a love for basketball history, this listing offers more than just a luxurious getaway… it’s a chance to “Be Like Mike,” if only for a week.
