Dillon Brooks has taken his long-running rivalry with LeBron James to another level, this time swapping his usual on-court trash talk for a cleverly designed advertising campaign.
The Phoenix Suns forward has teamed up with prediction market platform Kalshi for a new 30-second commercial featuring a fictional device called the “King Blocker 9000,” designed to eliminate any mention of James from electronic devices.
In the advertisement, Brooks introduces the imaginary invention, which supposedly filters out references to the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, including his famous nicknames.

The commercial debuted on October 20, coinciding with the opening of the 2026-27 NBA season and James’ highly anticipated first regular-season appearance for the Philadelphia 76ers. The campaign is scheduled to run for eight days across television, streaming services and social media.
Brooks and James have shared a contentious relationship since their memorable confrontation during the 2023 NBA playoffs, when Brooks, then with the Memphis Grizzlies, repeatedly questioned James’ age and openly embraced his reputation for provoking opponents.
The Lakers ultimately eliminated Memphis in six games, but Brooks has continued targeting the four-time NBA champion through public comments and on-court confrontations.
The latest advertisement also adds an interesting commercial dimension to the rivalry. James has appeared in promotional material for Kalshi competitor Polymarket, making Brooks’ involvement with the rival prediction market platform particularly fitting.
With the NBA’s opening night dominated by anticipation surrounding James’ new chapter in Philadelphia, Brooks has once again found a way to enter the conversation.
