OG Anunoby’s game-winning tip-in from the 2026 NBA Finals has already become part of Knicks history. Now, one New Jersey family has turned it into Halloween art.
A home in Tenafly recreated the closing seconds of Game 4 between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs using skeletons, jerseys, a basketball hoop and a custom scoreboard. The centerpiece of the display is Anunoby’s decisive putback, which gave New York a 107-106 victory and completed the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.
The original play came after the Knicks had trailed by 29 points. With seconds remaining, Jalen Brunson launched a deep three that missed, but Anunoby crashed in from the perimeter and redirected the rebound into the basket with 1.2 seconds left. The score pushed New York ahead for good and gave the Knicks a 3-1 series lead.
The Halloween version goes well beyond a simple Knicks-themed lawn.
One 12-foot skeleton is dressed as Victor Wembanyama, another wears Anunoby’s jersey and is positioned near the rim, while a separate Brunson skeleton is staged in the shooting motion that preceded the tip-in. The family even recreated courtside spectators, with skeletons representing notable fans who were at Madison Square Garden for the game.
A scoreboard on the property shows the Knicks trailing 106-105, capturing the exact moment before Anunoby’s touch changed the game. A sign reading “The tip-in that did the Spurs in” completes the display.
The homeowner told local media that the idea came almost immediately after Game 4, and that once the Knicks went on to win the championship, there was no question what the family’s Halloween theme would be. An extra 12-foot skeleton already on hand made Wembanyama an obvious choice for the oversized centerpiece.
