Gradey Dick briefly traded basketball analysis for weather forecasting during the Los Angeles Clippers’ stay in Hawaii.
The Clippers wing appeared on KHON’s *Working for Hawaii: EXTRA*, where he stepped in front of the weather map and delivered a seven-day forecast, giving fans a lighthearted off-court moment during the team’s preseason trip.

The segment leaned into Dick’s personality more than his basketball résumé, with the 22-year-old taking on the role of meteorologist and working through the local forecast on camera.
For Dick, it offered a very different stage from the one he is used to. Instead of reading defenses, he was reading temperatures and conditions.
The appearance came while the Clippers were in Hawaii as part of their preseason preparation, giving Dick a chance to show a more playful side away from the court.
There was no major basketball takeaway from the segment, and that was exactly the point.
For one day in Hawaii, Gradey Dick was not being asked about shooting, rotations or the upcoming season. He was being asked about the weather.
