The San Antonio Spurs will visit the New York Knicks in a rematch of the 2026 NBA Finals. New York defeated San Antonio in five games in June to capture its first championship since 1973, while Victor Wembanyama and the young Spurs established themselves as one of the league’s emerging powers. Bringing them back together at Madison Square Garden gives Christmas Day an immediate championship storyline.
Miami will then travel to Boston for another chapter in one of the Eastern Conference’s most familiar rivalries. The matchup carries an entirely different look after the Heat’s blockbuster acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason. Miami officially landed the two-time MVP from Milwaukee in July, dramatically changing the balance of power in the East.

The Western Conference takes center stage again when Oklahoma City visits Minnesota. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder remain among the league’s leading championship contenders, while the Timberwolves have reshaped their backcourt by pairing Anthony Edwards with LaMelo Ball following Minnesota’s offseason trade with Charlotte.
Christmas concludes with Denver visiting Golden State, putting Nikola Jokić and Stephen Curry opposite one another in a matchup between two players who have defined much of the NBA’s past decade. Both franchises remain built around their longtime superstars, making Nuggets-Warriors a fitting late-night finish to the holiday schedule.
