One of the most recognizable sounds of the Vine era has officially returned.
Terrance Jackson, better known online as the “LeBron James Kid,” has recreated the viral clip that first made him an internet sensation more than a decade ago. Jackson was just 5 years old when his older brother Darius posted the original Vine in June 2014, capturing Terrance repeatedly saying LeBron James’ name in the exaggerated “Lah-Bronn Jaaaames” delivery that quickly became a meme.
The six-second video became one of Vine’s most recognizable basketball clips, accumulating tens of millions of loops and spawning countless remixes across the internet. At a time when Vine was helping shape early meme culture, Jackson’s voice became instantly recognizable to NBA fans and social-media users alike.
His viral fame eventually crossed over into the NBA itself. In 2016, the Sacramento Kings invited Jackson to introduce the starting lineups before a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, giving him the chance to announce LeBron James in person using the same delivery that had made him famous online.
Now, 12 years after the original clip, Jackson has recreated the moment as a teenager, bringing the meme back for a generation that grew up hearing it repeated across Vine, YouTube, Twitter and later TikTok.

LeBron James has remained one of basketball’s biggest stars throughout that entire span. The child who accidentally became part of his internet mythology, however, has grown up. Twelve years later, “Lah-Bronn Jaaaames” still hits exactly the same.
