The Indiana Pacers are reconnecting with one of the most recognizable eras in franchise history.
Indiana officially unveiled a reimagined pinstripe uniform that will serve as the team’s Statement Edition look during the 2026-27 season. The design revives the style first introduced in 1997 and worn throughout the successful Reggie Miller era, including the Pacers’ run to the 2000 NBA Finals.
Rather than producing an exact replica, the organization has modernized the classic concept. The new uniform features a gold base with tonal pinstripes and a yellow-to-gold gradient intended to create a sense of movement. “INDIANA” appears across the chest in navy lettering with white outlining, while the shorts display the team’s secondary logo featuring the Pacers’ “P” inside the outline of the state.
The uniform also includes a tribute to legendary Pacers coach and broadcaster Bobby “Slick” Leonard. His famous “Boom Baby!” phrase is positioned above the tag on the front of the jersey, connecting the new design with another important part of the franchise’s identity.
Indiana’s original pinstripe set was worn from 1997 until 2005 and became closely associated with Miller, Rik Smits, Jalen Rose and the teams that regularly competed near the top of the Eastern Conference. The new version arrives nearly three decades after the look made its debut and reportedly required approximately three years of development.
Tyrese Haliburton, who has previously expressed his appreciation for the franchise’s classic uniforms, welcomed the announcement by paying tribute to the former Pacers who originally wore the design. The uniforms are scheduled to become available on September 1.
