The 2026 NBA Finals will carry a piece of American history on every jersey – and, eventually, inside some of the rarest basketball cards ever made.
Topps revealed that every player in this year’s Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks will wear a special “USA 250” patch on his jersey. The patch is part of the broader celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and will appear during the league’s biggest stage, turning each Finals uniform into more than just game gear.

After each game, the patches will be removed from the jerseys. Select game-worn versions will later be placed into ultra-rare trading cards, giving collectors a direct physical piece of the 2026 Finals – not just a commemorative design, but fabric that was actually on the floor under the brightest lights in basketball.
