Victor Wembanyama continues to wow fans and basketball pundits alike. He’s the kind of once-in-a-generation talent the league hasn’t quite figured out how to describe yet. And like all players who break the mold, the comparisons inevitably drift toward the legends.
For one, NBA Hall of Famer Dwight Howard didn’t hold back when talking about Wembanyama. He particularly singled out one thing — Wemby’s jump shot. Howard said the way he shoots has hints of Magic Johnson and Kevin Garnett, turning him into Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a jump shot.
“Not saying Kareem didn’t have a jump shot, Kareem was the hook. This guy is doing the jump shot with some Magic Johnson, man. And some KG, he got it. So, I’m loving what he’s doing on the court. I just want him to stay healthy and continue success. He is going to carry our league with the rest of these young guys”

When Wemby’s jumper is falling, defenses are pretty much out of answers. He’s a cheat code, and the production says it all. He’s putting up 24.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks on 51.1% shooting from the field while keeping the San Antonio Spurs right near the top of the conference.
