Lakers Linked To De’Andre Hunter, Day’Ron Sharpe As Potential Trade Targets

The Los Angeles Lakers are firmly in the playoff picture, and with Luka Doncic and LeBron James leading the way, making the postseason is not the concern. However, the goal in Los Angeles is bigger. It is winning a championship.

Right now, the Lakers still trail the top of the Western Conference. The Oklahoma City Thunder sit first at 38-11, while the Lakers are 29-18 and fifth in the standings. While anything can happen in the playoffs, the Lakers still have significant ground to cover before being viewed as a true title contender.

With lingering flaws to address, it comes as no surprise that Los Angeles is exploring reinforcements to close that gap. According to NBA news aggregator Evan Sidery, the Lakers have expressed interest in De’Andre Hunter and Day’Ron Sharpe as potential targets.

“The Nets are a team to monitor as a facilitator to help the Lakers acquire De’Andre Hunter from the Cavaliers.

Los Angeles has been in contact with Brooklyn to take on one of their expiring contracts.

The Lakers have also expressed interest in Brooklyn center Day’Ron Sharpe.”
