Anthony Davis keeps popping up in the rumor mill. For a player who has struggled to stay available because of constant injury issues, it almost feels expected at this point.
Even with those concerns, Davis remains a highly sought-after name, with the Atlanta Hawks reportedly exploring a move to acquire the defensive-minded Mavericks big man in hopes of pairing him with breakout star Jalen Johnson.
On paper, the fit looks intriguing for Atlanta. In practice, Davis’ durability remains a major question. That uncertainty is exactly why Channing Frye has pushed back on the idea, openly questioning why the Hawks would target Davis at all and even joking that he only plays half a game.
“Why? Why? Why?” Frye said. “For what? Two quarters until he hurts his pinky winky? Little pinky winky.”
