Dennis Rodman and Draymond Green come from very different NBA eras. Rodman made his mark in a rugged, defense-first league, while Green has thrived in a modern game built on spacing and versatility. Still, the comparisons between them keep coming.
On the surface, the similarities are clear. Both played key roles on dynasty-level teams. Both handled the dirty work. Both were defensive-minded forwards capable of guarding centers and sliding into small-ball lineups. And both carried the same kind of edge and attitude that made it clear they were not backing down.
The comparison comes up often, usually followed by the question of who is better. Former NBA point guard Brandon Jennings recently weighed in. He thinks Draymond does more overall and that Rodman cannot compare.
“Draymond can shoot the 3, spread the floor, pass the ball, guard everybody 1-5. Dennis Rodman cannot f*ck with Draymond.”
