On-Air Argument Dominates Third Quarter Of Los Angeles Clippers Broadcast: “They HATE Each Other”

A clip from the Los Angeles Clippers’ broadcast of their game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday sparked widespread chatter after the announcing duo traded barbs on-air for an extended stretch of the third quarter.

Viewers circulated footage showing play-by-play voice Brian Sieman and analyst Jim Jackson debating a trivia prompt and continuing the argument while live action unfolded, with stretches in which the banter overshadowed traditional play-by-play.

The exchange appeared to begin when a trivia question about notable trios in NBA history resurfaced mid-broadcast. Sieman referenced feeling “ambushed” by the prompt, while Jackson pushed back, asking what constituted an ambush. What followed was a back-and-forth that grew sharper as each tried to defend their framing.
