Stephen Curry scored a season-high 49 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a dramatic 109–108 win over the San Antonio Spurs in last night’s NBA Cup matchup, sweeping the two-game set in San Antonio.

Stephen Curry was unstoppable, shooting 16-of-26 from the field, including 9-of-17 from three-point range, and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. He scored 31 points in the second half, including the game-winning free throws with 6 seconds left, securing Golden State’s first NBA Cup victory and improving their record to 8–6 overall, 1–1 in Cup play.

This marked Curry’s second consecutive 40+ point game, a feat he hadn’t achieved since November 2022. He also became just the second player in NBA history to record back-to-back 45+ point games after turning 35, joining Michael Jordan.

“Steph was brilliant again,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr. “These games felt like playoff battles.”

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in 38 minutes. He also shared a viral  moment with Draymond Green, after trash-talking him after a poster dunk.
