Golden State Warriors guard Buddy Hield found himself at the center of controversy Friday night after a tense postgame interaction with a Portland Trail Blazers fan that quickly went viral.
Following the Warriors’ 112–108 loss to the Blazers, Golden State’s first defeat of the season, Hield was approached by a fan who asked him to apologize for swearing loudly near his teenage son during the game. Hield’s response? Anything but apologetic.
“I don’t care. Shut the f*** up. F*** you. I don’t give a f***,” Hield snapped, according to video footage circulating on social media.

The incident occurred as players were exiting the court. The fan, reportedly seated near the Warriors bench, confronted Hield about his language during the fourth quarter. Hield, visibly frustrated after a turnover-filled performance, didn’t hold back.
