Madison Square Garden is no stranger to unforgettable moments, but last night, it wasn’t a buzzer-beater or a slam dunk that had fans on their feet. Instead, it was a legendary tic tac toe duel between two passionate New York Knicks fans that turned a routine media timeout into an arena-wide spectacle.
The impromptu showdown took place during the third quarter of the Knicks’ preseason matchup, when the jumbotron camera crew selected two fans from the crowd to participate in a classic game of tic tac toe.
Decked out in Knicks gear and armed with oversized X and O paddles, the two fans approached the center court display with laser focus. The game reached a fever pitch when both players were one paddle away from the win and both simultaneously made their bucket. What an epic ending!
