The Las Vegas Aces have officially cemented their place as a WNBA dynasty, capturing their third championship in four seasons with a commanding 97–86 victory over the Phoenix Mercury in Game 4 of the Finals. The win completed a clean sweep in the league’s first-ever best-of-seven Finals format, and once again, it was A’ja Wilson who led the charge.

Wilson, who has become synonymous with excellence in the WNBA, delivered a masterclass performance with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Her dominance throughout the postseason earned her the Finals MVP award for the second time in her career. Remarkably, Wilson also made history by becoming the first player in WNBA history to win Regular Season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Finals MVP in the same season.

Supporting Wilson were Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray, who each contributed 18 points, while Jewell Loyd added 12. The Aces’ balanced attack and defensive tenacity proved too much for the Mercury, who despite a valiant effort, including a triple-double from Alyssa Thomas and a 30-point outing from Kahleah Copper, couldn’t overcome Las Vegas’ firepower.

The championship marks a triumphant return for the Aces, who fell short in last year’s semifinals. Head coach Becky Hammon praised her team’s resilience and leadership, calling Wilson “alone on Everest” in terms of her impact and legacy.

With most of the roster heading into free agency, the future of this powerhouse squad remains uncertain. But for now, the Aces are basking in the glow of another title, their third in four years, and a celebration that echoes through the league as a testament to sustained excellence.
