It didn’t take long for Cooper Flagg, the Dallas Mavericks’ rookie sensation, to make headlines off the court. In a video circulating on social media, the 18‑year‑old forward was asked to recognize NBA players from the 2006 season. The results were, in a word, brutal.
Flagg, who was born in 2006, was visibly stumped when trying to name some of the players from that era. While he was able to identify, Juan Howard, Michael Finley, Rasual Butler (kind of ), and Antoine Walker, he did not recognize Turkish legend Hedo Turkoglu, Eric Snow, two-time All-Star Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Antoine Wright and Rashad McCants.
