Victor Wembanyama has officially crossed into sci-fi stardom. In a delightful twist to his already surreal offseason, Wembanyama made a voice cameo in the season 13 premiere of Futurama, portraying – what else? – an alien version of himself.

The episode, titled Destroy Tall Monsters, aired on Hulu and features Wembanyama as “Wembanyama,” a basketball-playing extraterrestrial. The scene unfolds on a futuristic court in New New York, where Bender, the show’s iconic robot, is grappling with his height insecurity. Enter Wemby and Harlem Globetrotter Ethan “Bubblegum” Tate, both offering sage (and hilarious) advice on the perks and pitfalls of being tall.

Wemby’s alien persona delivers the line:

“Bender, the true measure of a man is not his physical stature,” before cheekily laughing and admitting that height does have its perks, especially when it comes to dating.

This marks Wembanyama’s first foray into voice acting, and fans are loving it. His cameo fits perfectly into Futurama’s tradition of blending pop culture with absurdist humor. The show has long featured basketball themes, including the recurring Globetrotters characters, but Wemby’s appearance adds a fresh, real-world twist to the animated universe.
