While vacationing in Grenada, Pascal Siakam made headlines for an impromptu act of kindness that left an entire restaurant stunned.
Siakam stopped by a local KFC, curious to see what made the Caribbean version of the fast-food chain so special.
“They’re saying the Caribbean KFC is different, so I’m trying to see what it’s about,” he said in a video posted to social media.
Rather than opting for the drive-thru, Siakam insisted on going inside. Once there, he quietly paid for every single customer’s meal in the restaurant. A KFC employee later remarked,
“This is the first time in history that anyone has ever purchased meals for everyone in the building”.

Siakam is coming off a stellar 2024–25 season, where he led the Pacers to the NBA Finals and earned Eastern Conference Finals MVP honors. Despite a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, his performance, averaging 24.8 points per game on 52.4% shooting, cemented his status as one of the league’s elite.
True to his humble nature, Siakam downplayed the moment. “We don’t want attention,” he said in the clip, laughing when someone asked if he wanted his chicken “spicy.” He later reflected,
“You do some of these things from your heart and obviously you hope that it has an impact, but just to see the reactions… it’s part of who I am”.
Whether it’s hosting basketball camps in Cameroon or teaching data science to Toronto youth through his Data Dunkers program, Siakam continues to use his platform to uplift others. His latest gesture in Grenada is just another reminder that true greatness isn’t measured in points or trophies, but in compassion and character.
