Proposed Trade Involves Draymond Green-Centric Deal To Land Zion Williamson In Golden State

Something needs to break loose for the Golden State Warriors. If it’s not Jonathan Kuminga’s restricted free agency situation, then maybe a separate trade is what gets things moving. So far, they haven’t made any moves to retool the roster this offseason.

The Western Conference has gotten tougher, and Warriors fans are understandably looking for the team to respond. After a second-round playoff exit and with their core getting older, a trade appears to be the logical move.

In this scenario, Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World proposed a bold move that he believes wouldn’t just make the Warriors look better on paper but instantly elevate them into Finals contention. He suggests targeting New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson.

Golden State Warriors Receive: Zion Williamson

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Draymond Green, Brandin Podziemski, 2027 first-round pick (GSW), 2032 first-round pick (GSW)

“Zion’s power and inside scoring would bridge the gap between mid-tier ceiling and championship threat, with Kuminga still in tow. It’s daring in that signature Warriors couture: splashy, bold, but potentially transformative.

This trade would instantly shift the West’s balance and alter the Warriors’ marketing forever. Imagine Zion in Bay Area social media content, linked stat lines between him and Kuminga, two explosive forwards, and Curry finding a new lob conduit. If healthy, it elevates Golden State from fringe to Finals contender overnight.”
