Marcus Morris Blasts Vegas Over Arrest: “We Could’ve Handled It MOB-Style”

In a fiery and unapologetic social media post, NBA veteran Marcus Morris Sr. broke his silence following his recent arrest in Florida over alleged casino fraud charges tied to Las Vegas. The 13-year pro didn’t mince words, calling out the city of Las Vegas and suggesting the situation could’ve been resolved “MOB-style” rather than through handcuffs and jail time.

Court documents allege Morris obtained over $265,000 from two Las Vegas casinos, $115,000 from MGM Grand and $150,000 from Wynn Las Vegas, using markers that were never repaid. These markers, essentially casino-issued credit, are treated as checks under Nevada law. When they bounce, it’s considered fraud.

Morris was arrested at a South Florida airport and held for 51 hours in lockdown without food or water, according to his own account. He now faces extradition to Nevada and multiple felony charges.

Taking to Instagram, Morris unleashed a raw and emotional statement:

“We could’ve handled that MOB style in the back room at the casinos lol. But seriously though, never been a FRAUD or participated in no fraud s***.”

He emphasized that he’s been a loyal patron of Vegas casinos for over a decade and felt blindsided by the arrest.

“To treat me like that was wild,” he wrote. “I’ve gambled on those properties for over 10 years!”

Morris concluded his post by saying he and his twin brother, Markieff Morris, would address the situation live on camera, promising transparency and a deeper look into what he calls a “lesson learned”.
