Fresh off signing a $239.9 million max rookie extension and winning his first NBA championship, Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren is enjoying his offseason with style, and satire. In a viral Snapchat story, Holmgren took time to rate a series of parody posts from NBA Centel, a social media account known for its wildly photoshopped and fabricated content that often leaves fans doing double takes.
Holmgren’s reactions were equal parts amused and self-aware, showing that the 7-footer has a sharp sense of humor to match his shot-blocking instincts.
The first post featured Holmgren with a dramatically altered haircut.
“It might be my favorite Centel post, coz it actually looks cold,” he said, giving it an 8 out of 10. He praised the Photoshop skills, joking that whoever runs the account “took it to another level”.
Next up was a fake image of Holmgren wearing a shirt with the WB logo and the phrase “If You See Da’Police. Warn A Brother.” Holmgren laughed at how convincing the edit was:
“People see that and really think I wore a shirt like that.” He gave it a 7 out of 10, calling it “kind of lame, but good Photoshop”.
One post falsely quoted Holmgren as saying he was “from the trenches.” He quickly shut that down:
“I never said that; I never said I am from the trenches; I never said any of these quotes, honestly.” Still, he gave it a 10 out of 10—for misinformation.
The final post showed a photoshopped plate of food supposedly from Holmgren’s Instagram story.
“It really does look like it came off my Instagram,” he admitted. “But no, that wasn’t my plate on the 4th. I wish it was. It looks like a good plate.” Another 7 out of 10 for creative deception.

Holmgren’s lighthearted ratings come at a time when he’s riding high. He helped lead the Thunder to their first NBA title and secured a massive payday. Whether he’s swatting shots or rating memes, Holmgren continues to prove he’s one of the most entertaining young stars in the league.
