Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has filed for a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children, Heather Andrews, citing a disturbing pattern of harassment, emotional abuse, and threats of violence. The filing, made in Los Angeles on June 25, 2025, marks the latest development in a years-long, tumultuous relationship between the two.
According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets, Brooks alleges that Andrews has repeatedly threatened him and his family, destroyed his property, and even hacked into his social media and co-parenting accounts. One of the most alarming claims includes a message in which Andrews allegedly threatened to “cut off [his] fingers” so he could “never play basketball again”.
Brooks also claims Andrews accessed his OurFamilyWizard account—a platform used for co-parenting communication—and sent herself a fabricated message, which she then used as evidence in her own restraining order request against him.
The pair met in 2018 during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and share two daughters, ages five and two. Brooks alleges that the harassment began while Andrews was pregnant with their first child and has escalated over the years. He claims she sent him hundreds of emotionally abusive messages, leaked private conversations to tabloids, and vandalized his home—including writing profanities on his fireplace mantle.
In one particularly chilling message, Andrews allegedly wrote,
“I’ll have someone cut each one of your f***ing little fingers off one by one… So you can never play basketball LOL”.
This restraining order comes after Andrews previously filed her own against Brooks, accusing him of harassment and threats. The dueling legal actions paint a complex and deeply strained co-parenting relationship, with both parties accusing the other of misconduct.
As of now, neither Brooks nor Andrews has made a public statement regarding the latest filing. The Phoenix Suns and the NBA have also not issued any official comment.
