Nobody is generating more trade buzz than Jimmy Butler. The Miami Heat superstar is at odds with Pat Riley and the organization, with tensions escalating to the point of Butler being suspended indefinitely. As time goes on, speculation continues to build about where he might end up.

The Heat appear to be doing their due diligence with the trade deadline approaching. The Phoenix Suns seem to be positioning themselves by acquiring draft picks, while teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors are also being mentioned as potential landing spots. However, one sleeper team emerging in the mix is the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philadelphia is no stranger to Butler. He played for the Sixers during the 2018-19 season and was instrumental in their run to the second round of the playoffs. According to Yahoo Sports’ Vince Goodwill, the Sixers could be in play for Butler, with Joel Embiid reportedly pushing the team to bring him back.

“I’ve heard that Philly quietly could be a suitor for Jimmy Butler…theoretically, it would be a Jimmy for Paul George swap. I believe that Embiid is pushing for them to reacquire Jimmy.”
